I had a wonderful stay at Glentanner Park with my family! The cabins were reasonably priced and perfect for our group. The location is stunning, especially if you plan to explore Mount Cook. While the communal facilities were a bit crowded during peak times, everything was clean and well taken care of. However, I did find the rooms somewhat basic for the price we paid.
Rooms

The cabin we stayed in was clean and had the essentials, like bunk beds, a toilet, and a basin; however, it felt a bit cramped and basic for the cost.
Service

The service was adequate, and staff clearly worked hard to maintain the area, but it felt basic overall.

My stay at Glentanner Park was a wonderful experience, especially for those looking to explore the stunning Mount Cook area. The location is fantastic, right near the popular hikes. The rooms were basic but surprisingly comfortable. While the dining facilities were a bit cramped during peak times, the food was quite nice. It wasn't the cheapest option for what you get, but overall, it provided good value for a short stay.
Rooms

I found the 10-bunk bed room to be basic yet comfortable. Although I would have preferred a double room with a kitchenette, it served my needs adequately.
Service
6.0
I experienced some inconsistency with the service; while the staff worked hard, I noticed a delay in replacing an electric jug during breakfast. However, they were helpful when needed.

I had a mixed experience at the campsite. Despite the beautiful surroundings and well-designated private areas for camping, I was disappointed by the lack of adequate facilities due to a large school group taking over almost everything. The cleanliness was noteworthy, but the long queues for the bathrooms detracted from the overall enjoyment of our stay.
Rooms

The camping spots were clean, private, and well-landscaped, though the facilities felt inadequate during peak times.
Service

The reception was helpful, but I would have appreciated more proactive information about local activities and facilities.

We had a wonderful time camping at this park. The view was absolutely stunning from our tent, and the amenities were just excellent, including hot showers and a well-equipped kitchen. However, our experience was marred slightly by the large school group that took over the communal areas, making it difficult to access shared facilities, particularly the bathrooms.
Rooms

The tent setup was comfortable, though a bit cramped for our family of four when it rained.
Service

The service was decent, but the large school group affected our access to some facilities, which was frustrating.

We had an amazing time heli hiking with breathtaking views of Mount Cook, along with the fantastic expertise of our guide Matt. The experience was not only thrilling but also safe and well-organized. However, our initial experience at the campsite wasn't great; we faced challenges with the facilities being overwhelmed by a large group, which made it less enjoyable.
Rooms
9.0
We stayed in a spacious 10-person dorm that was clean and had heating, making it cozy during our stay. The additional toilet in the room was a pleasant surprise.
Service
7.0
The service was attentive during our heli-hike, with Matt showing great knowledge and care for everyone's safety. However, the staff's assistance at the campsite could have been more helpful.
Location
9.0
The locations of both spots were stunning, especially the heli hike with views of Mount Cook, making it a picturesque experience. The campsite also had a beautiful setting but was overwhelmed by a school group.
Dining
8.0
The lunch at the cafe after our hike was delicious and satisfying, a perfect way to end the adventure. Sadly, dining options at the campsite were limited and tedious due to the crowd.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities at the park included a clean and tidy kitchen and living area, although they were crowded and limited due to the school group. At the dorm, the common area was warm and welcoming with a fire.
